Home Elevators on Long Beach Island, NJ
Inclinator® holds the honor of being the first residential electric elevator company in the United States. We’ve been growing our skills for almost a century, using this experience to install home elevators for Long Beach Island homeowners, helping them maintain independence and accessibility in their waterfront properties. We design and test every elevator to comply with ASME A17.3-2016, the international safety standard governing residential elevators.
Our home elevators allow you to enjoy the following benefits:
- Waterfront-ready design: We specialize in elevator solutions for Loveladies estates, Beach Haven West lagoon homes and coastal properties spanning Long Beach Island’s oceanfront and bayside communities.
- Family independence: An elevator installation allows everyone safe passage between floors without relying on stairs. Your home becomes more accessible for family members with mobility considerations.
- Efficient use of square footage: Residential elevators require minimal space while providing superior vertical access.
- Enhanced property desirability: Accessibility features attract buyers seeking long-term waterfront homes, representing both immediate functionality and future value.
Our Five-Step Process
The following straightforward process is how we take a residential elevator in Long Beach Island, NJ, from design to installation:
Step 1: Consultation & Planning
- Homeowner: Contact your local dealer and share any existing home plans or project details, whether you’re building an oceanfront estate in Loveladies or renovating a lagoon home in Beach Haven West.
- Dealer: Conduct an onsite consultation (or architectural drawing review) to recommend the best drive system and hoistway layout for your Long Beach Island property.
Step 2: Design Selection & Quote
- Homeowner: Select your design finishes, including cab style, gates and accessories that work beautifully in Long Beach Island’s coastal home architecture.
- Dealer: Provide a quote based on your specific selections.
Step 3: Technical Drawings & Permits
- Homeowner: Review and approve hoistway drawings with your contractor and secure necessary Long Beach Island building permits (if applicable).
- Dealer: Create hoistway drawings with all necessary requirements, and review with homeowner and contractor.
Step 4: Construction & Inspection
- Homeowner: Have hoistway built by your contractor to match approved hoistway drawings – including flush door requirements and specifications for elevated waterfront structures typical of Long Beach Island.
- Dealer: Coordinate with contractor during construction phase to ensure hoistway is being built per the drawing requirements and inspect hoistway after completion.
Step 5: Installation & Handoff
- Homeowner: Attain completed permit paperwork (if applicable), and attend the final review to learn how to operate and maintain your new elevator.
- Dealer: Install elevator, perform safety testing, demonstrate proper operation and ensure that applicable elevator permit requirements have been satisfied.
