Inclinator® brings almost a century of experience to every home elevator installation in Avalon, NJ. Our elevators deliver improved home access while enhancing your home’s look and offering:
- Accessibility and safety: Our elevators help you maintain independence while reducing fall risks. We abide by all safety codes at the local, state and federal levels. We manufacture each elevator to meet the international safety standard for residential elevators, ASME A17.3-2016.
- Benefits for upside-down living: Many Avalon homes feature upper-floor kitchens to maximize ocean views. Our elevators make this practical, from carrying groceries upstairs to simplifying movement between entertaining spaces and bedrooms.
- Optimized use of space: Elevators use less space than staircases, allowing more room for living areas with water views.
- Improved marketability: A well-designed elevator adds aesthetic and functional value to your property.
Our Five-Step Process
The following straightforward process is how we take a residential elevator in Avalon, NJ, from design to installation:
Step 1: Consultation & Planning
- Homeowner: Contact your local dealer and share any existing home plans or project details, whether you’re planning an upside-down floor plan with a top-level kitchen or updating an existing bayfront property along the lagoons.
- Dealer: Conduct an onsite consultation (or architectural drawing review) to recommend the best drive system and hoistway layout.
Step 2: Design Selection & Quote
- Homeowner: Select your design finishes, including cab style, gates and accessories that complement Avalon’s luxury custom architecture.
- Dealer: Provide a quote based on your specific selections.
Step 3: Technical Drawings & Permits
- Homeowner: Review and approve hoistway drawings with your contractor and secure necessary Avalon building permits (if applicable).
- Dealer: Create hoistway drawings with all necessary requirements, and review with homeowner and contractor.
Step 4: Construction & Inspection
- Homeowner: Have hoistway built by your contractor to match approved hoistway drawings – including flush door requirements common in coastal elevated construction.
- Dealer: Coordinate with contractor during construction phase to ensure hoistway is being built per the drawing requirements and inspect hoistway after completion.
Step 5: Installation & Handoff
- Homeowner: Attain completed permit paperwork (if applicable), and attend the final review to learn how to operate and maintain your new elevator.
- Dealer: Install elevator, perform safety testing, demonstrate proper operation and ensure that applicable elevator permit requirements have been satisfied.
