Inclinator Company of America

Inclinator's heritage of innovation and performance.

Helping people live easier, more comfortable lives isn't anything new for Inclinator. The notion began in 1923 when C.C. Crispen, a Pennsylvania entrepreneur, created a way to enable his ailing friend to travel from floor to floor. Crispen's idea? Design a seat that could climb stairs. A self-taught engineer, Crispen built the first prototype of the inclining chair. He called it the Inclin-ator. In 1928, C.C. Crispen introduced the Elevette® elevator, an alternative for homes with winding staircases. Wheelchair lifts, dumbwaiters and stair package lifts were added later to complete the product line.

Still family-owned, and handmade one at a time.

From creating the most customizable products and maintaining our obsession with quality craftsmanship to preserving a history of proven reliability and providing outstanding customer service, Inclinator Company of America is committed to being an industry leader. Our headquarters and manufacturing plant are located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania USA.
